Twelve million children in America don't get enough food to live active, healthy lives.  These children are in our classrooms and on our playgrounds.

Children should never go hungry. Yet, many children who depend on school provided meals have little or no access to nutritious food on the weekends.  A child is unequipped to learn when they are hungry.

Meals to Grow volunteers assemble bags of child-friendly and nutritious food.  These bags are given to elementary school children who have been identified as being high-risk for hunger.  On Fridays the bags are discretely placed in the children's backpacks by the school, providing them food when other resources are not available.  These children can return to school on Monday ready to learn.

Pop-Top Canned Food Drive January 22, 2012

Please join us as we “POP THE TOP” off hunger with a pop-top canned food drive on Sunday, January 22. Pop-Top canned meals (such as Chef Boyardee, Progresso & Chunky) are needed to help feed the children served through the Meals to Grow Backpack Program.  Over 720 cans are used every month to provide the main meal for these children. Pop-top canned meals will be collected in the New Room lobby or Narthex on the morning of January 22.
